1. Our commitment

The International Journal of Disaster Studies and Climate Resilience (IJDSCR) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. If editorially significant issues are identified after publication, IJDSCR will publish formal notices and link them to the original article.

2. How readers can report concerns

Readers, reviewers, and authors may report suspected errors or ethical concerns by contacting: editorial@resiliencepress.org. Please include the article title, DOI, and a clear description of the concern.

3. Types of post-publication updates

IJDSCR may issue any of the following updates (as appropriate):

  • Correction / Erratum / Corrigendum: To correct errors that affect clarity, accuracy, or interpretation, without invalidating the main conclusions.
  • Clarification / Addendum: To add information that improves understanding of the work.
  • Expression of Concern: When serious concerns exist but an investigation is ongoing.
  • Retraction / Partial Retraction: When findings are unreliable due to major error or misconduct, or when only part of the work is affected.
  • Withdrawal / Removal: In rare cases (e.g., legal/privacy issues), content may be withdrawn or removed while maintaining a transparent record.
  • New version / New edition: When a substantively revised version is issued.

4. How IJDSCR publishes updates

  • Each update notice is published as a separate item with its own citation details and DOI (where applicable).
  • The update notice will clearly explain what was changed and why.
  • The update notice will be linked to the original article, and the original article will link back to the notice.

5. What happens to the original article

  • Corrections: The article remains available. If the PDF/HTML is updated, the journal will ensure the correction is transparently documented.
  • Retractions: The article remains accessible for the scholarly record but is clearly marked “Retracted” and linked to the retraction notice.
  • Expressions of Concern: The article remains available but is clearly flagged and linked to the notice.

6. Editorial and ethical standards

IJDSCR follows established publication ethics practices and expects authors to comply with the journal’s author guidelines, peer-review policies, and ethical standards. (https://resiliencepress.org/index.php/disaster/about/privacy)
